You know how some people can be genuine? While, that's how this is going to work. I'm going to be as Jennifer as I can possibly be without hurting myself- and you're gonna watch. Deal?

Fanfiction, Facebook, and adventure oh my!

I read. It's my thing. When I read, I have to be shaken to respond to a question. Apparently, that makes me hard of hearing! But I am not, I hear just fine... especially when someone says food. I also love to talk about what I read. So I am going to talk. Mostly about one Fanfiction(fan based work on a site ironically called Fanfiction.net).

I have quite a few favorite stories, but at the moment, I am absolutely flabbergasted with the silent wonder at this piece of work: Checkmate.

Are you one of the, what I call, normal Fanfiction-er's? A person who has a strict set of perimeters for the stories they read? "I only read Naruto." or "I can't read that, it's not adventure" or " I hate that pairing". I'm not like that. I have almost no limit, except that I would really, really, really prefer not to read a sex scene. Or Slash(male/male or female/female). I mean, sure, some people can write pretty decent scenes of public indecency in a bedroom, but I don't want to read it.

I prefer stories that have meaning behind them. One of my favorite lines from a story was: "God so loved the birds, that he made them trees. Man so loved the birds, that he made them cages."

It leaves everything and nothing to be desired. That one sentence. It was so thoughtful and so thoughtless. I had to read it three times to really get it. I only wished the story had been better. It was actually pretty crappy, but it got my attention.

That's what I look for in a story. The thought of originality. Going where no man has gone before. Touching subjects untouched. Watching rather than waiting for something to come to you. I have to admit I love when the story is written correctly. Grammar, mechanics, sentence structure; it is all needed.

Checkmate has all of that and more.

It's a story that takes good and evil and gives them a good spin. Are you interested yet? It's a Danny Phantom Fanfiction. Danny and Vlad are the main characters, and the whole story spans several days reading.

I could give you a glimpse.... but I would rather not. It doesn't hold the same magic if someone tells you about it first.

Also, listening to Doctor Horribles Sing Along Blog. Very good taste in music have you, if you listen.

^.^
